TTF13's Top 3 Plant-Horror Movies

Monsters come in all shapes and sizes; from lumbering homicidal maniacs to blood thirsty sharks, to...even, a tire. If it can mobilize in some way, hell that's not even needed is it? Ok, if you can imagine it, it has probably killed someone or someones in a horror movie at some point in time. My favorite kind of monster however, is the kind that's unassuming, that's least suspecting because you've perhaps taken it's existence for granted. I'm talking about greenery. Plants. Flora.

Wait no, I'm actually talking about, the green death machine. The Green Reaper. The Green Inferno. A monster; and here are what I feel are it's best three forms in cinema history (click images for each respective trailer):

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1978)

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but when the imitated aren't around to appreciate it afterwards? Uh, nope, it isn't. Especially not when the imitators are using your body for imitation fuel! So yeah, DON'T FALL ASLEEP or risk ceasing to be a unique snowflake.

Weeds (Creepshow) (1982)

Poor Jordy Verril can't catch a break. Even when he come across what should be the discovery of a lifetime in a crash landed meteorite, it turns out to be an insatiably hungry alien plant parasite hell bent on taking over the world. "Oh, Jordy Verrill, you lunkhead!"

Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Speaking of insatiably hungry alien plant parasites, hell bent on taking over the world, this one does it in style! Audrey II is all about the presentation, singing and jiving on it's way to world domination! Only thing bigger than it's appetite, is it's attitude! Drop the weed killer, and RUN!
