You remember last year, the rash of creepy clown sightings occurring in the US, and perhaps the resurgence this year, around the Carolinas? Well, it seems more are beginning to appear and these clowns are much more brazen and sinister in intention.
From a recent news report from CBS:
Authorities say two North Carolina children said they saw the clown, and one adult reported hearing the clown. According to the two kids, the clown was wearing white overalls, white gloves, and red shoes and had red bushy hair, a white face, and a red nose, according to CBS affiliate WFMY. They told police he offered them treats like candy if they would come into the woods.
From the bolded text, sure sounds like a clown to me, and not just any old clown either, but THE clown we've all come to know as children and fear as adults. That's right, the irresistible Pennywise from Stephen King's classic "IT". While some are speculating this to be some kind of viral advertising for the upcoming reboot, reports of attempts to lure children away from their parents doesn't sound like the kind advertisement strategy a major motion picture studio would want to be involved with. More than likely, these clowns aren't playing any games. So if you see one, best just stay away and call the authorities.
