It wasn't long ago that we reviewed Timothy Vandenberg's unnerving and effective little horror short, Agatha. A tale about a dark secret kept within the confines of a secluded attic bedroom, and all the poor souls who dare to get close enough to uncover it. The film has made its way through a successful festival circuit run, coming away with extremely positive critical reception. It follows then that the creators were compelled to take the gruesome short to its next logical place - a feature length film. Suffice to say, given our enthusiasm for the original, we collectively leapt out our skin. Even further cause for excitement is the news that the future project already has a an actress attached for a principal role; Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill). Read on:
The producers are working on getting Horror Equity Fund involved in order to get the production ball rolling! Let's hope momentum is built quickly and Agatha gets the feature-length film it deserves. We'll be sure to share any updates as we quickly as we get 'em, stay tuned!
