Ok, so it kind of sucks that the monsters we grew up with probably don't exist. No really, I'm being serious here. As someone who grew up with horror in the 80's, Fred Dekker's awesome horror-lite flick Monster Squad, inspired me and my buddy to go monster hunting. Braving the mean streets of Ravenswood, NY at night (not smart) in search of things that go bump in the night, we were determined to take down any and all monsters that would hope to see our gruesome end. That dream ended about 23 minutes in when, after hearing a couple gun shots and some screams in the distance, we realized the only real "monsters" were the violent drug dealers making the rounds. The cops were probably better suited for that task.
Still, in celebration of that spirit to go bust some vampires and wolfmen, Fright-rags is currently selling some really awesome apparel that at the very least, would make us look the part of a "Monster Squad" member. Check it out below:
The Monster Squad Collection is on sale now at Fright-Rags.com. Shirts and enamel pins are in stock, while socks will ship in early-May. Be sure to check out back with Fright-Rags this Saturday, April 15, for a groovy Midnight Madness Tee available exclusively for 24 hours.
