We discuss 3 popular eras of the horror genre that by definition, share very similar traits to eras found in entertainment wrestling of the same time frame:
- Golden Age
Slashing, Stabbing, Mutilating, Biting, Bludgeoning, with a smile and a wink.
- Attitude Era
That period of time in the early 2000's where horror went for the throat, tore it out, spit on it, peed on it, found your mother, took her out for a steak dinner and never returned her calls.
Mean mean mean, and flashy as all hell.
- "PG" Era
With a condom.
We also discuss our picks for another type of horror film that we've coined as "Comfort Horror", described as "A soothing lullaby of screams and terror. The kind of horror film that calms and warms you; a cinematic glass of warm milk."
In between all of that, some general off-topic nonsense, John Carpenter's odd penchant for drawn out fight scenes, horror films in space, Jasmine hates everything, Jeremiah provides the laugh track, and David cleverly slips in a Creed jab. STILL. NO. SARAH :-((((((((((
