REVIEW BY DAVID, JEREMIAH, and SARAH
A couple is celebrating their 10 year anniversary. The candles are lit, the table is set, and classy music is projecting from a record player. It’s a very Hannibal Lector-esque setting. For only a 9 minute runtime the experience feels fairly layered. The outcome could easily be interpreted as literal or metaphorically representing many aspects of aging romantic relationships from a male and female perspective. If you are looking for a high quality short to scratch that thriller itch, Good Girl is definitely worthy of your time.
A beautiful film that takes a dark and twisted turn, which really worked, I definitely wanted to see more of how the story would have progressed if the film would have been a feature film.
Wesley Alley and Bradley Fowler deliver a slick little romantic thriller that’ll surely have you feeling gooey for all the wrong reasons. Good Girl, and more specifically Zack Ward, are not what they appear to be. Wolf in sheep’s clothing is certainly one way to put it. Another way would be, “holy shit, call the police right now!”. Fairy tale my ass; the big bad wolf is real - and he’s wearing Armani.
